Sales of the U.S. Mint's Puerto Rico Official First Day Coin Cover featuring Puerto Rico's quarters was delayed.
The set will now be offered beginning at noon Eastern Daylight Time May 26, 2009.
Price is $14.95. There is also a $4.95 shipping and handling fee. Buyers can go online to the Mint's Web site at www.usmint.gov, or telephone (800) USA-MINT.
Production is limited to 25,000 FDCs.
Two quarters, one from Denver and one from Philadelphia, are mounted on a display card with a canceled 42-cent postage stamp.
The postmark is March 30, 2009, SAN JUAN, PR. This was the day the Puerto Rico quarters were first released by the Federal Reserve to general circulation.
